Past defaults · Payment issues

Funding with past defaults or payment issues.

A prior MCA default, past payment issues, or a rough payment history doesn't automatically rule you out. Some funders will consider these files, and we work with funders who do. No promises of approval, just an honest look.

  • Soft check only
  • No application fee
  • Same-business-day response

The honest version

A rough stretch isn't always the end of the conversation.

Plenty of businesses hit a bad patch: a slow season, a lost customer, too many positions at once. Some funders will look past a prior default or payment issues if the business is healthy today.

Not every funder will, and options can be fewer. Our job is to know which funders consider these files, take yours to them, and tell you straight what comes back.

How we handle it

How we approach these files.

  1. Tell us the history

What happened, when, and how it was resolved. Being upfront early saves you time.

  2. We match the file

We take it to funders who consider prior defaults or payment issues, rather than sending it everywhere.

  3. You see real terms

If an offer comes back, you see amount, term, payment, and total cost in writing.

  4. Straight answer

If nothing makes sense for your business right now, we'll tell you that too.

General information only, not an offer. Some funders consider past defaults or payment issues; approval, amounts, terms, and timing depend on underwriting and are not guaranteed.

FAQ

Questions about past payment issues.

Will a past default automatically disqualify me?

Not automatically. Some funders will consider businesses with prior defaults or past payment issues. It isn't a promise of approval, and every file is reviewed on its own.

Should I tell you about the history up front?

Yes. It will come up in underwriting anyway, and knowing early lets us take the file to funders who actually consider it, instead of wasting your time.

What if I'm currently in default on an advance?

Tell us on the first call. A current default is usually not a fit, and we'd rather be straight with you about that than take you through an application that won't go anywhere.

Will it cost more because of my history?

It may. A rough payment history can mean fewer options or tighter terms. You'll see the full cost in writing before you sign, and if it doesn't make sense, we'll say so.

Will this hit my credit?

No. Seeing your options is a soft check. There's no hard pull and no application fee.
